The Seven Churches of Revelation Bible Study - this is part of a much larger bible study covering the whole of Revelation. I never realised how rich with knowledge these seven letters of Jesus to the churches really are until one asks for example, "who are the Nicolaitans?", "What does 'Smyrna' mean?"... the answers are surprising, informative and amazingly relevant to our times.
This post is mostly a place to dump the resources I found/purchased to aid our Tuesday night Bible Study.
By far my favourite resource for the seven churches are the insights by Rick Renner - who has expanded each church into a mimi-series per church. At the moment I only have access to Thyatira below:
I personally loved this series by Joe Stowell - packed with information and filmed on location in Turkey. Personally I rate this 7 stars.
Jack Hibbs, senior pastor at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in California is a wonderful teacher. He paints pictures and weaves a message that is rich with substance. By the time you're done with his messages on the 7 churches, I reckon you're ready to knowledgeably talk about the subject.
